The newly finished Kindergarten upgrade and extension for Bowen Road Primary School is complete and happily occupied. High volumes and the golden glow of the new plywood-lined arrival, meeting and kitchen space create a community-friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The foyer roof lifts above the existing building onto which it clips, casting natural light and bringing a strip of sky to the interior. Freshly modelled, spacious, north-facing kindergarten areas open to a large playground created by the demolition of an existing structure. Its removal effectively connects the school to achieve a sense of spatial unity. A new entrance pathway from the Brooker Highway anticipates a future tree-lined avenue to further enhance connection through the school grounds.
