Set on the east coast of Tasmania, Thalia Haven overlooks the coastline of Great Oyster Bay with views across an ever-changing sea to a mountainous horizon line stretching from Freycinet Peninsula and the Schouten Island Group to Maria Island further south. Built of locally sourced stone, the construction conveys timeless solidity and evokes a Mediterranean feel. Separate pavilions create distinct accommodation areas around an inwardly focussed planted courtyard of an intimate scale. This luxury environmentally sustainable residence is off the grid and features stone fireplaces, stone flag floors and recycled hardwood windows, doors and expressed roof beams.
