Set on the east coast of Tasmania, the romantic Thalia Haven get-away accommodation overlooks the coastline of Great Oyster Bay. Views stretch across an ever-changing sea to a mountainous horizon line from Freycinet Peninsula and the Schouten Island Group to Maria Island further south. Built of locally sourced stone, the construction conveys timeless solidity and evokes a Mediterranean feel. Separate pavilions create distinct accommodation suites around an inwardly focussed planted courtyard of intimate scale. This private, luxury, environmentally sustainable, tourist accommodation is off-the-grid. Character features include stone fireplaces, flagstone floors, recycled hardwood windows and doors and expressed roof beams from reclaimed bridge timbers.
